I Speak Jesus - Here Be Lions with Darlene Zschech

A wonderful new worship anthem for the Church. This a very powerful song declaring who Jesus is.

I love worship song lyrics that talk about dealing with real life issues such as breaking addictions as well as encouraging us to sing and shout about Jesus on the streets.

‘I Speak Jesus’ originated from HopeUC (Hope Unlimited Church) in Nashville with worship leader & Pastor Dustin Smith. Jesse Reeves, who was part of the songwriting team on ‘How Great is our God’, is also one of the co-writers. This is a beautiful recording by Here Be Lions, joined by Darlene Zschech.

I first heard this song used in Holland and felt compelled to bring it home & introduce it to Gather Collective, our home Church in Eastbourne. I'm thrilled to see other worship leaders & artists recording this song.

There is power in the name of Jesus!

By the Grace of God

Beautiful contemporary hymn co-written by Tim Hughes, Martin Smith, Brian Johnson & Nick Herbert. Led here by Tim Hughes and the Gas Street worship team. A song of substance and revelation.  This song is on their Rewilding album.

I have also been reading the Dane Ortlund book Gentle & Lowly, which reveals much about the Grace of God, this drew me back to the song too.  Great to be reminded of God’s gift of grace.

Change - Bright City Collective

For my March Song of the Month, I would like to feature ‘Change’ by the Bright City Collective, who are based at St Peters Church in Brighton.

This is a worship anthem - a Revival song!

I love the quote: ’Write your songs of what you want the Church to be. Sing them and the Church will become them.’

...so powerful!
